Sidephone is a modular phone built around the idea that technology should adapt to its user, not compete for their attention. A focused core device and interchangeable keypad tiles let people choose the functions they need, creating a more deliberate alternative to the conventional smartphone.
I led the industrial design of the phone and its wider product system, shaping the architecture, proportions, detailing and CMF across the handset, tiles and accessories. The design balances a distinctive, tactile character with the practical demands of modularity, everyday carry and manufacture, turning an ambitious proposition into a coherent product ready for market.
